Gringo

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 10 months

When a dog arrives at the shelter that immediately gives kisses, jumps with joy at the sight of a human and looks straight into the eyes with hope - we know that it is someone special. And that's exactly Gringo. He is a walking happiness on four legs, who needs only one thing to be fully happy - his own home. Who is this dog for? For someone who is looking not only for a dog, but a true companion for life. Gringo is a social butterfly, loves contact with people and values closeness. He will thrive in a family with children - he loves them with his whole wagging tail. He is also a good candidate for people who already have a dog - he doesn't cause problems in contact with other dogs. Who are we looking for? Best of all someone who has time and a desire for joint walks (because walking is his second name!), someone who likes to cuddle and doesn't mind wet kisses given by surprise. Gringo can live in both an apartment and a house with a garden - the most important thing is that he has his human next to him. What's worth knowing about him? Our bachelor walks beautifully on a leash, stays close to the owner, and on a walk doesn't look for adventures - the only thing that matters is the common road. He is delicate, sociable and tries very hard to be polite. He loves to play, is jumpy and cheerful, but also knows how to calm down and fall asleep with his nose tucked into his knee. Currently, a small bump at the hip - the size of a cherry - is under observation. For now, it does not require intervention, but it's worth the future owner to keep an eye on it and continue observation under the care of a veterinarian. Gringo is not just a dog. He is a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day, a friend from the first glance and the best companion for couch evenings. Weight: 25kg Leash: yes Attitude towards dogs: positive He has been neutered, dewormed, de-loused, vaccinated, chipped, registered in the Safe Animal database. The dog is located in: Funny Pets Shelter in Czartki Czartki 49b, 98-200 Sieradz powiat sieradzki, łódzkie voivodeship 43 828 36 46 - general

About Gringo

What life with Gringo looks like

Gringo is a large puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Gringo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Gringo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Gringo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Gringo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Gringo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Gringo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Gringo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
