How do I contact the shelter about GRUDEK?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw GRUDEK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt GRUDEK if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is GRUDEK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if GRUDEK isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know GRUDEK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Grudek is a magnificent, large-sized Cavalier born in 2020, which means he is currently around 6 years old. Grudek is at the most beautiful, fully formed age - he has long since outgrown his youthful antics, offering instead remarkable composure, life wisdom, and boundless gratitude for every peaceful breath. He weighs around 35 kg, proudly representing a sturdy, dignified figure and a gaze full of innocence and deep trust. Grudek came under our care in a dramatic state - with a chain embedded in his neck. For years, his daily life was one of pain, extreme neglect, loneliness, and a shackle that was meant to take away his dignity. And yet, a miracle happened: Grudek has not a shred of aggression, resentment, or complaints towards the world! This is a dog with an angelic disposition - extremely calm, gentle, sociable, and endlessly thirsty for closeness. A moment of attention is enough for this big boy to curl up in a person's arms, quietly and faithfully thanking for the rescue. He doesn't need big adventures or strenuous sports - he just wants a soft bed, safety, and the warmth of a home. The shelter box is a difficult stage for such a hurt dog - Grudek urgently needs a real home where he will never experience pain again! Why is the unique and unyielding Grudek a perfect treasure for you? Extraordinary heart and pure forgiveness: Despite the hell of the shackle, he loves people without limits - he is the embodiment of the purest, touching gentleness. Oasis of peace and balance: A quiet, balanced gentleman who will bring soothing harmony and a sense of security to your home. Maturity and invaluable gratitude: At around 6 years old, he will perfectly appreciate every gesture of care - his loyalty and devotion will be the most beautiful reward for giving him a second life. We are looking for a home for Grudek that is responsible, safe, and full of empathy - people with big hearts who will repay him for years of suffering and accept him as a full-fledged member of the family. Give him a safe haven, and this extraordinary hero will repay you with boundless, lifelong devotion!

About GRUDEK

What life with GRUDEK looks like

GRUDEK is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.
