Baruk

Male · Young · 2 years

Baruk is one and a half years old and brings smiles to everyone he meets. From the moment he was a puppy, he’s been a fighter: we found him when he was just two or three months old, and ever since then, we’ve raised him with love, teaching him to trust, play, and be happy. Baruk is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and has pet insurance. He’s been trained in obedience and behaves wonderfully both at home and on the street. He gets along effortlessly with other dogs and cats, and he has a very gentle nature around children. He’s an independent yet affectionate dog; he loves running freely, but he also seeks the affection of those around him. Playful, noble, and sociable, Baruk is an ideal companion for active families—whether they already have other pets or not. Despite all the wonderful qualities he offers, he still hasn’t found the family that will choose him forever. But we continue to believe that his time will come, and somewhere out there, there’s a home waiting for him with open arms.

ES·Show original

About Baruk

What life with Baruk looks like

Baruk is a young adult dog waiting at Adoptamics in Spain.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Baruk, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Baruk?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adoptamics handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Baruk on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Baruk if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adoptamics will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Baruk already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Baruk isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adoptamics early rather than rehoming privately; they know Baruk and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
