GRYZLI

Male · Young · 2 years

Gryzli is a tiny, shy, 1.5-year-old puppy. During the adoption process, his separation anxiety became apparent. Gryzli handles being left alone very poorly—when he’s by himself, he ends up relieving himself wherever he happens to be and starts barking incessantly. This little, fearful creature needs just a moment (even if it’s a short one!) to start trusting and feeling safe in someone’s company. Gryzli walks beautifully on leash and absolutely loves exploring his surroundings. He’d probably do best in a quieter environment where he wouldn’t have to deal with too many stimuli. However, nothing is off the table with a stable, willing-to-work owner. Right now, he lives in a kennel with another dog and gets along great with him. He could also live happily with a cat. He’s never shown any aggression toward his volunteer caregiver. Gryzli is a young dog who needs a patient and steady guardian who can help him learn about the world. Anyone considering adopting this adorable young fellow will certainly need to work closely with a behaviorist to address the behavioral issue described above. Gryzli has his whole life ahead of him. It would be such a shame for him to spend his youth in a place that terrifies him. He’s a very friendly dog who loves people. Gryzli is waiting for a responsible person who will love him, provide him with a forever home, and help him overcome his fears. Contact the volunteer: 539 641 840

PL·Show original

Gryzli to malutki, nieśmiały, 1,5 roczny piesek. Wielka szkoda by spędzał swoją młodość w miejscu, które go przeraża. Jest bardzo przyjaznym pieskiem, który kocha ludzi. Gryzli czeka na odpowiedzialną osobę, która pokocha go, zapewni mu dom na zawsze i pomoże mu pokonać jego lęki. Kontakt do wolontariuszki: 539 641 840

About GRYZLI

What life with GRYZLI looks like

GRYZLI is a small young adult dog waiting at Schronisko Kraków in Kraków.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting GRYZLI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about GRYZLI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kraków handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw GRYZLI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt GRYZLI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kraków will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is GRYZLI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if GRYZLI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kraków early rather than rehoming privately; they know GRYZLI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
