GRYZLI

Male · Puppy · 4 months

GRYZLI is a little, shy, 1.5-year-old puppy. He came to the animal shelter as a puppy, was adopted and returned after a year. During adoption, his separation anxiety became apparent. GRYZLI badly handles being left alone, in such cases he has accidents anywhere and barks. This little, frightened creature needs a moment (although short!) to trust and feel safe in someone's company. GRYZLI walks nicely, loves exploring the area. He will probably feel best in a quieter neighborhood, where he won't have to deal with many stimuli. But nothing is excluded with a stable and willing person. Currently lives in a kennel with another dog and gets along well with him. He could also live with a cat. Regarding his volunteer, he never showed aggression. He is a very young dog, who needs a patient and stable caregiver, who will help him discover the world. The person deciding to adopt this cute young man will certainly have to involve themselves, with the help of a behaviorist, in resolving the behavioral problem described above. There is still a whole life ahead of GRYZLI. It would be a great shame for him to spend his youth in a place that scares him. He is a very friendly puppy who loves people. GRYZLI is waiting for a responsible person who will love him, give him a home forever and help him overcome his fears.

Gryzli to malutki, nieśmiały, 1,5 roczny piesek. Wielka szkoda by spędzał swoją młodość w miejscu, które go przeraża.

About GRYZLI

What life with GRYZLI looks like

GRYZLI is a small puppy/kitten dog waiting at Schronisko Kraków in Kraków.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

Note from the shelter: Severe separation anxiety - eliminates inappropriately and barks when left alone. Requires behavioral training and patient owner.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting GRYZLI, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about GRYZLI?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Kraków handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw GRYZLI on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt GRYZLI if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Kraków will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is GRYZLI already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if GRYZLI isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Kraków early rather than rehoming privately; they know GRYZLI and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
