Guerlain arrived at our shelter in 2021. He was rescued as a kitten by an association on the island of Réunion and then lived in homes that were not suitable for his needs, which is why he had to change homes several times, causing him a lot of stress. Guerlain is a very affectionate cat. He loves to be cuddled and sleep next to his human, licking and purring on the blanket that covers him. He is friendly and curious, greeting him when he comes home by rubbing against his legs. He is also comfortable around guests and will even approach them. Guerlain is very gentle and never hisses. He can be carried if needed. However, he decides when he wants to be cuddled. Sometimes, he prefers to sit at the top of his large cat tree or on a cupboard, in a quiet place. Guerlain is very active and needs to be stimulated by his human. He loves to go through his tunnel, run after a fishing rod or a ball, and jump. If he doesn't get enough stimulation, he sometimes catches his human's calves. When he is very excited or, on the contrary, when he is tired of cuddling or playing, he may slightly extend his claws or bite a little. Don't worry, it's easy to spot this in advance and remove your hand in time! Guerlain will live in a secure apartment (minimum 40m2 - currently lives in 50m2) and will not need access to the outside, although he would be happy to have a balcony. It will be essential to secure the main windows and balconies from top to bottom. Guerlain is also a big foodie! He deserves his nickname "Kinder" because he loves sweets and could easily be poisoned with chocolate lying around... In terms of health, Guerlain is in good health but suffers from chronic vomiting. A non-gourmet bowl and regular brushing help to limit this. His stress can also lead him to frantically scratch his ear and injure himself. To avoid this, he takes Zylkène every day. For his happiness, Guerlain will need presence and a large living space enriched with games and high areas. To ensure his safety, it will be essential to fully secure the main windows and balconies from top to bottom. A completely enclosed outdoor area with free access would be a big plus. Guerlain must be the only animal in the household, as he does not get along with other cats and dogs and attacks them violently. Guerlain est arrivé chez nous en 2021. Recueilli bébé par une association sur l'île de Réunion, il a ensuite vécu dans des foyers qui n'étaient pas adaptés à ses besoins et a dû en changer à plusieurs reprises, ce qui lui a généré beaucoup de stress.Guerlain est un chat très affectueux, il adore se faire câliner et dormir auprès de son humain pour le léchouiller et pattouner sur son plaid qui le recouvre.Avenant et curieux, il vient l'accueillir quand il rentre du travail en se frottant à ses jambes. Facilement à l'aise, Guerlain vient même aux devants des invités.Très gentil, il n'a jamais feulé et on peut le porter si besoin. Malgré tout, c'est lui qui décide quand il veut être câliné. Il préfère parfois se poser en haut de son grand arbre à chat ou d'une armoire, bien au calme.Dynamique, Guerlain a énormément besoin d'être sollicité par son humain ! Il adore aller dans son tunnel, courir après une canne à pêche ou une balle et faire de super sauts. S'il manque de stimulation, il lui arrive parfois d'attraper les mollets de son humain.Quand il est très excité ou au contraire, quand il en marre des câlins ou du jeu, il peut lui arriver de sortir légèrement les griffes ou de mordre un peu fort. Pas d'inquiétude, il est facile de repérer cela en amont pour retirer sa main à temps !Guerlain pourra vivre dans un appartement sécurisé (minimum 40m2 - vit actuellement dans 50m2) et n'aura pas besoin d'avoir un accès à l'extérieur, bien qu'il serait heureux d'avoir un balcon. Il sera impératif de sécuriser les fenêtres principales et les balcons de haut en bas.Guerlain est aussi un grand gourmand ! Il mérite bien son surnom "Kinder" car il adore le sucré et pourrait facilement s'intoxiquer avec du chocolat qui traîne...Niveau santé, Guerlain est en bonne santé mais souffre de vomissements chroniques. Une gamelle anti-glouton et un brossage régulier permettent de limiter ça. Son stress peut également le conduire à se gratter frénétiquement l'oreille et à se blesser. Pour éviter cela, il prend du Zylkène chaque jour.Pour son bonheur, Guerlain aura besoin de présence et d'un grand espace de vie enrichi en jeux et zones en hauteur. Pour sa sécurité, il sera impératif de sécuriser intégralement les fenêtres principales et les balcons de haut en bas. Un extérieur totalement clos en libre accès serait un gros plus.Guerlain devra impérativement être le seul animal du foyer, il ne s'entend pas du tout avec les autres chats et les chiens et les attaque violemment.
