Haga

Mixed Breed · Unknown

We are urgently looking for a home for HAGI! Haga was terrified when she came to us. She was afraid of her own shadow and every sudden movement. In the box, she was practically not visible. Thanks to the work of volunteers, she is making more progress every day. Now she walks more confidently on walks and is the first to stand by the bars, waiting for a person. Haga is still stressed by touch, she allows herself to be petted, but it is not yet very comfortable for her. We are asking for a home! Despite the progress she has made, she will still need work. The coming family must be ready to work with a behaviorist. We hope that as soon as she feels calm and safe, she will open up completely. Please do not leave her without help — a home is urgently needed! Haga gets along with dogs, rather a home without small children, as noises stress her. Haga was born at the beginning of 2021. Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Size — up to the knee.

Wysterylizowana, zaszczepiona, zaczipowana. Wielkość — do kolana . About Haga

What life with Haga looks like

Haga is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Haga, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Haga?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Haga on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Haga if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Haga already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Haga isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Haga and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
