adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal!Hailey has already found her home! Her story: The delicate Hailey was found with her small puppies abandoned on the edge of a field and brought to the shelter by her finder. There, they are now taken care of and will be medically checked and treated if necessary. The young mother is very affectionate in her care of her little ones and shows friendliness to both strangers and other dogs. We do not know her story, but we hope very much that from now on, everything will turn for the better and that all will find a new, beautiful home. Hailey is a dainty and pretty female dog who behaves calmly and attentively. She has wonderful brown eyes that seem to look straight into one's soul. At just under 2 years old, she has already gone through puberty. Nevertheless, there will certainly be some challenges for the new human-dog team. She needs people who approach her with love and patience, giving her time to settle in and forgiving her occasional mishaps. A visit to dog training classes can also be a meaningful addition after a certain period of getting used to things. Leash walking, house training, and being left alone are still foreign concepts to Hailey. She will test her limits and may even forget some things she has learned. But after overcoming this phase, she will undoubtedly become a wonderful companion for life. We hope so much that she can now experience the beautiful sides of life and learn that there are people who only want the best for her. Hailey is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive foster home trial. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the sweet mouse! Who will give her a loving forever home? Many thanks to Amira! You named Hailey. Date: 19.09.

Vielen Dank an Amira! Du hast Hailey Ihren Namen geschenkt. About Hailey

What life with Hailey looks like

Hailey is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hailey, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hailey?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hailey on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hailey if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hailey already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hailey isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hailey and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
