Adopt HAKET

Mixed Breed · Unknown

HAKET arrived at our shelter from Rowery Street. HAKET is a young, approximately 2-letni (2-year-old) TTB-type dog who greets each new place with boundless energy, joy, and carefree enthusiasm. Every new location is treated as its own kingdom, and every new person is a potential best friend. HAKET is brave, confident, and completely stress-free. This is a true joker – it doesn’t ponder whether it should or shouldn’t, it simply enjoys every moment. HAKET loves human contact, play, and any activities that allow it to burn off its energy. Walks, running together, scent games, or training – all of this brings immense joy. HAKET does not display any signs of aggression. It is positive, open, and very friendly towards people. However, we have serious suspicions that it may be deaf. The lack of reaction to sounds and calls suggests deafness, though it in no way diminishes its joy in life. Deaf dogs often find their way through visual communication and work with a caregiver – often building an exceptionally strong, trust-based relationship with a person. HAKET is looking for a home that won’t be intimidated by its fiery temperament or any potential disability. It needs people who are patient, engaged, and ready to work with it based on visual signals. In return, it will give its whole heart – unconditionally and forever. If you dream of a devoted, happy dog that reminds you every day how beautiful life can be – HAKET is waiting for you.

Haket trafił do schroniska z ul. Rowerowej. Haket to młody, około 2-letni pies w typie TTB, który wchodzi w życie z przytupem – pełen energii, radości i beztroskiego entuzjazmu.

About HAKET

What life with HAKET looks like

HAKET is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Lublin in Lublin.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting HAKET, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about HAKET?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Lublin handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw HAKET on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt HAKET if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Lublin will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is HAKET already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if HAKET isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Lublin early rather than rehoming privately; they know HAKET and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
