Hanna, a 4-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, came to our shelter due to a surrender. With her beautiful amber eyes and gentle nature, she quickly wins hearts. Hanna is eagerly waiting for people to give her a home. She is very affectionate, incredibly cuddly, and open-minded. She enjoys the closeness to her humans immensely. Hanna has undergone thorough veterinary examination. Some past health issues were successfully treated and do not pose any limitations for her today. Upon arrival at the shelter, Hanna had a corneal lesion in her left eye, which was surgically treated. At the final check-up, the eye was fully healed and without limitations. Her right eye was also inflamed and is now only mildly affected, which does not bother Hanna. Further treatment is currently not necessary. If there is increased eye discharge, eye rubbing/squinting, or cloudiness, she should be examined by a veterinarian. Radiographs showed that Hanna's lung area appears slightly enlarged. If she develops coughing, breathing difficulties, or other unusual symptoms in the future, a veterinary examination is advisable. Her hip joints have a slight anatomical weakness. Currently, Hanna shows no limitations or signs of arthritis due to this. A congenital anomaly of the airways leads to chronic inflammation in Hanna.

Die etwa 4-jährige Hanna kam aufgrund eines Verzichts zu uns ins Tierheim. Mit ihren wunderschönen, bernsteinfarbenen Augen und ihrem sanften Wesen erobert sie schnell die Herzen. Nun wartet Hanna sehnsüchtig auf Menschen, die ihr wieder ein Zuhause schenken. Hanna ist sehr lieb, unglaublich verschmust und aufgeschlossen. Sie geniesst die Nähe zu ihren Menschen ausserordentlich. Hanna wurde gründlich tierärztlich untersucht. Einige gesundheitliche Baustellen aus der Vergangenheit konnten erfolgreich behandelt werden und bereiten ihr heute keine Einschränkungen.Am linken Auge hatte Hanna bei ihrer Ankunft im Tierheim eine Veränderung der Hornhaut, die operativ behandelt wurde. Bei der Abschlusskontrolle war das Auge vollständig verheilt und ohne Einschränkungen. Auch das rechte Auge war entzündet und ist mittlerweile nur noch leichtgradig betroffen, was Hanna nicht beeinträchtigt. Eine weitere Behandlung ist derzeit nicht nötig. Bei vermehrtem Augenausfluss, Augenreiben/-kneifen oder einer Trübung, sollte sie tierärztlich untersucht werden.Röntgenuntersuchungen zeigten, dass Hannas Lungenbereich etwas vergrössert wirkt. Sollten künftig Husten, Atembeschwerden oder andere auffällige Symptome auftreten, ist eine tierärztliche Abklärung sinnvoll.Ihre Hüftgelenke weisen eine leichte anatomische Schwachstelle auf.
