Adopt Hanni

Mixed Breed Cat · Female

Description Hanni and Nanni are two sweet sisters who were dropped off at a clinic in Bucharest with their mom. The mom should be spayed. The man didn’t want to take responsibility for the little ones, so they are now in a foster home and settling in well. They play a lot with the other cats and cuddle a lot with each other. Hanni (more tiger) is very friendly towards people, cuddles a lot, and is very greedy. Nanni (more white) is more shy and took a few days to warm up to her foster mom, but she will let her be stroked now. Despite this, she loudly expresses when she’s hungry. Now both are very friendly and run around the whole apartment. They cuddle most with each other and want to move out together. Both get along well with dogs. They even sleep with the dogs in the dog bed together. Please note:. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

About Hanni

What life with Hanni looks like

Hanni is a adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hanni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hanni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hanni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hanni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hanni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hanni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hanni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
