adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt Hanni! adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt Hanni! Hanni has found her home! Her story: Our cute little girl dog is a delicate presence, with a slender build, shining light brown fur, and charming floppy ears. But what truly captures the heart are her friendly, dark brown eyes, which radiate warmth and kindness. Hanni has something appealing about her that immediately instills trust. The young female dog moved into a loving foster family at the end of January and quickly settled in. She displays an exceptionally friendly and gentle nature, seeking out the company of people and enjoying cuddles and family life to the fullest. Even the 9-year-old daughter has already found a place. Hanni brings a big heart that is ready to trust, she is brave, curious, and intelligent. From the start, living with the male dog in the household has been problem-free, and she plays with him enthusiastically. She remains absolutely peaceful, curious, and interested around the cat, but not intrusive. Even the chickens are simply observed. Foreign dogs are no problem at all, even if they bark at her, she remains calm, which underscores her harmonious social behavior. The young female dog is very excited about walks and runs really well and calmly on the leash, sometimes a bit clumsy, but that is due to her oversized paws. She has already learned several basic commands quickly, is very adaptable, and orientates herself well to the trusted people and the only dog. When it comes to strangers, Hanni is initially cautious but warms up relatively quickly. At the vet, she is very attentive and does everything well. She is home-office-friendly, even vacuum cleaners, coffee machines, and other environmental stimuli like cars, bicycles, and scooters are no longer an issue after a short time. The driving also works well. We wish for Hanni loving people who are ready to not only welcome this loving soul into their life but also into their hearts and share many beautiful moments and experiences with her. An ideal home would be in the countryside with plenty of space, she loves nature. Originally from Zalau, Romania, Hanni was rescued as a tiny puppy from the culling along with her siblings Pia and Nils and brought to our private shelter, where she had to wait for travel arrangements for a time. Hanni can be adopted at any time. She is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and brings her EU pet passport. Have you already fallen in love with Hanni? We thank Fietsenfee. Your sponsorship was the start of a new life. As of: 13.02.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 13.02.2025

About Hanni

What life with Hanni looks like

Hanni is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hanni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hanni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hanni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hanni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hanni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hanni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hanni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
