adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Haribo has found her forever home! Her story: Hello there. My name is Haribo. My sister thought I was so cute that she named me that. I am a ca. 1-1.5 year old feline lady with a beautiful luck marking. I was discovered by a vet by chance. She was in a traffic jam and heard my cries for help. I was sitting in a small bush when I was just a baby, with no mom or siblings nearby. I believe I was abandoned there. The kind woman took me in and saved my life. My foster parent raves about me. I am a wonderful, friendly, affectionate, and playful cat. She always says, "I am a kitten who brings life into the home and with whom you will never get bored." I love to play for my life, both with people and especially with other fellow animals, so my wish is not to be the only cat in a new family. If no one is waiting for me there, I would also be happy to bring some extra company. I am currently living with a dog, and that works out just fine. I wish for a life in a suitable apartment environment, as my start in life was not beautiful, so I have simply too much fear and don't know the outside world yet. A secured balcony or terrace would make me very happy. There is nothing more beautiful than basking in the sun on my belly, watching birds, and wiggling my whiskers in the wind. I am already neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea treated. I would test negative for FIV and FELV and have an EU pet passport. After a positive Will you give me the chance to win your heart? Then contact me. I have been waiting here so long. Many thanks to Vanessa! You gave me my funny name! Status: 25.09. This cat is to be kept indoors only.

Dann melde dich. Ich warte so lange hier. Vielen Dank an Vanessa! Du hast mir meinen witzigen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 25.09.2024

About Haribo

What life with Haribo looks like

Haribo is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Haribo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Haribo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Haribo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Haribo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Haribo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Haribo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Haribo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
