Harissa lived on the street for many years, exhausted from giving birth to innumerable litters, raising pups and holding out outdoors. Year after year, many of her colonies were decimated by outdoor hazards and disease, but Harissa persevered with the coldest winters, hungry periods, heavy calvings, and years of toothache. She didn't know there was anything more to hope for from life... until the day after months of flattering, we managed to bring her into the room. Today, Harissa is healthy – really healthy – and ready to enjoy life, but she needs someone who understands that it takes time to build a trusting relationship. At the shelter, Harissa is timid but curious. He comes on top of the treats at the bedside, plays with a pen stick and enjoys being quiet. He gets along well with other cats, but does not necessarily seek their companionship. Ideally, Harissa wants a peaceful home with a friendly cat in front of her, but she’s also the only kitten with an understanding person. Harissa elas aastaid tänaval, kurnatud lugematute pesakondade ilmale toomisest, poegade kasvatamisest ja õues vastu pidamisest. Aasta aasta järel said paljud ta kolooniakaaslased õueohtude ja haiguste tõttu hukka, kuid Harissa pidas visalt vastu kõige külmemad talved, näljased perioodid, rasked poegimised ning aastaid kestnud hambavalu. Ta ei teadnudki, et elult on midagi rohkem loota… kuni päevani, mil pärast kuudepikkust meelitamist õnnestus meil ta tuppa tuua. Täna on Harissa terve – päriselt terve – ja valmis elu nautima, kuid vajab selleks inimest, kes mõistab, et usaldusliku suhte tekkimine võtab aega. Hoiukodus on Harissa arglik, aga uudishimulik. Ta tuleb maiuste peale voodi äärde, mängib sulepulgaga ja naudib vaikselt olemist. Teiste kassidega saab ta hästi läbi, kuid tingimata nende seltsi ei otsi.
