Adopt Harlow

Female · Senior · 9 years

Harlow is a 9-year-old female dog who loves playing fetch with tennis balls. Despite her age, she becomes energetic and playful when a ball is involved. She came into care with limited background but has flourished in foster care. Harlow still has a worried nature but is making great progress. She bonds quickly with her people and would benefit from having her own garden to build confidence and play fetch. She needs a quiet household and could live with older secondary school aged children. Located at Dogs Trust West Calder near Edinburgh.

Harlow's 'Day in the Life' written by her foster carer - "Cuddles start first thing when she realises I'm awake and then we head for her first walk. She gets a couple of treats when we come back then has breakfast at 8:30a.m. She loves to be outside in the garden and she's totally football mad. She follows me everywhere when I'm working away in the garden, wondering what I'm up to. She gets a few tummy rubs which she adores. Her second walk is in the early afternoon. She then more or less stays out in the garden if the weather is fine but always comes to be with me anytime I go outside. She then has dinner at 4:30p.m, relaxes a little then its time for another game of football or fetch! Her third walk is in the early evening then she's usually in the house having a well deserved snooze but likes to follow me if I leave the room. . She then has a few treats and is happy to go to her bed for the night." Home requirements: If Harlow could speak she would say 'Please throw my ball!'. Harlow forgets her age when a tennis ball is involved and loves nothing more than a good game of fetch! Harlow came into our care with very limited background but has since come out of her shell out in foster. She still has a worried nature but she has been coming on leaps and bounds - literally! She bonds quickly to her people and would enjoy having her own garden to help build up her confidence plus its the best place to play fetch! Harlow is looking for a quiet household and could live with older secondary school aged children. AWE licence number 13090 by West Lothian Council. Available at West Calder (Edinburgh), West Calder
