Adopt Harmony

Podenco · Female · Young · 2 years

Harmony is the puppy of Hera & Hercules who came to us after being caught in the wild, so it was clear that they have not had much human contact, at least not positive contact. Hercules the father of the puppies, came out of his shell very fast and started loving human contact, so he was adopted quite soon. Hera, their mother was also adopted and became the most wonderful, fast learning and cheerful podenco girl in her new home in Germany. Honey has also in the meantime been adopted, and Harmony has moved to a foster home with 2 humans, cats and many dogs, to support her socialisation into the human world. Harmony is a very beautiful, petite podenco girl, she loves her dog friends. The presence of other dogs gives her confidence, so we are looking for homes who already have another or several other dogs, who will show Harmony the ways in the new life. Experience with scared dogs and patience are definitely needed to adopt Harmony. She is looking for a home in a quiet, nature environment, with an easygoing daily routine and would not be suitable for a social city life. Her shoulder height is approximately 45-47cm.

About Harmony

What life with Harmony looks like

Harmony is a small young adult podenco dog waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Harmony, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Harmony?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Harmony on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Harmony if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Harmony already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Harmony isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Harmony and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
