Haru

Female · Adult · 5 years

Description Haru is a brave mom. She appeared out of nowhere in a nearly extinct colony in a very hostile area (they weren't wanted and the feeders were thrown away). In a few days she brought 5 babies. Thanks to the collaboration of a wonderful family who helped locate them and offered to provide temporary foster care, everyone has been rescued and adopted, except the champion mom. Very affectionate and grateful, a bit distrustful of strangers. She gets along great with cats, but isn't very playful. She is a quiet and balanced kitten. She was the last one rescued from the family and to our surprise she tested positive for feline immunodeficiency. She only carries antibodies against immunodeficiency, it's not serious, it's not a disease, she can live peacefully with cats if there are no fights. (It is transmitted through bites, etc). She needs a loving home where she can be happy and make her humans happy. Would you like to meet her without any commitment? Contact us! Update: they became friends with Mila, another precious one like her and also an asymptomatic carrier of feline immunodeficiency. Joint adoption would be an ideal option: they get along great together, they complete each other. Mila is very outgoing, very effusive, very energetic and Haru is sweet and a bit shy. Together they make a perfect balance. Are you up for it? They are also available for temporary foster care and we take care of maintenance and veterinary costs. Let's talk?

Hablamos? WhatsApp: 680997198

About Haru

What life with Haru looks like

Haru is a adult cat waiting at CES Sant Feliu (adoptaungatito.es) in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Haru, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Haru?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. CES Sant Feliu (adoptaungatito.es) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Haru on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Haru if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — CES Sant Feliu (adoptaungatito.es) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Haru already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Haru isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with CES Sant Feliu (adoptaungatito.es) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Haru and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CA). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
