Hedwig - brings nothing so quickly out of her composure - female dog, approx. 8 years old, rough-haired, born around 2017/2018, SH approximately 40 cm, spayed, vaccinated, chipped, EU passport. - Still waiting in Romania! Hedwig, the sweet Strubbeline, was found on Romania's streets in great distress. She was hot and being chased by a pack of dogs. She was lucky to be seen by one of our animal rescuers and freed from her plight. This prevented further dog suffering and saved Hedwig from (certainly) further motherhood. Hedwig didn't seem to have had a good life, as she is missing an eye and her neck shows clear signs of a collar. Maybe she broke free or was abandoned? We don't know, but can only describe how she behaves in the shelter: very loving and relaxed, calm-tempered and friendly towards people and fellow dogs. That's why she lives with puppies in the shelter. The active puppies are tolerated patiently by the chilled Hedwig and she is probably better off there than with the large dogs. Of course, Hedwig now seeks a home of her own with loving people who show her how beautiful a dog's life can be with lots of love, her own bed and a constantly filled food bowl. Alternatively, also a foster home. Before departure, she will undergo tests for babesiosis, borreliosis, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, dirofilariasis and leishmaniasis. HEDWIG - bringt nichts so schnell aus der Ruhe - Hündin, ca. 8 J., rauhhaar, geb. ca. 2018/2017, SH ca. 40 cm, kastriert, geimpft, gechipt, EU-Paß. - Wartet noch in Rumänien ! - Hedwig, die süße Strubbeline, wurde in großer Pein auf Rumäniens Straßen gefunden. Sie war heiß und wurde von einem Rudel Rüden verfolgt. Sie hatte großes Glück, dass sie von einem unserer Tierretter gesehen und aus ihrer Not befreit werden konnte. So konnte weiteres Hundeelend verhindert und Hedwig vor (sicher) weiterer Mutterschaft bewahrt werden. Hedwig schien kein schönes Leben gehabt zu haben, denn ihr fehlt ein Auge und ihr Hals wies eindeutige Spuren einer Kette auf. Vielleicht hatte sie sich befreit, oder wurde sie ausgesetzt? Wir wissen es nicht, sondern können nur beschreiben, wie sie sich in der Auffangstation zeigt: sehr liebevoll und entspannt, von eher ruhigem Gemüt und freundlich zu Menschen und Artgenossen. Deshalb lebt sie in der Auffangstation auch mit Welpen zusammen. Deren Aktivität toleriert die gechillte Hedwig geduldig und ist dort sicher besser aufgehoben als bei den großen Hunden. Natürlich sucht Hedwig nun ein eigenes Zuhause bei lieben Menschen, die ihr zeigen, wie schön ein Hundeleben mit ganz viel Liebe, einem eigenen Bettchen und einem immer gefüllten Futternapf sein kann. Alternativ gerne auch eine solche Pflegestelle.
