Heidi & Pollo

Male

Heidi and Pollo came into our care not together, but in the same month and in a similar way: both were simply abandoned. Now we are looking for a caring home for the duo. Other companions and a large outdoor area are a must for Heidi and Pollo. In the outdoor area there should be different design elements, a covered place with material for a sand bath and a safe night house for the night, different perches and suitable bedding such as chips or straw flour. Our mediation guidelines for roosters are based on the Animal Welfare Act. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Frequently asked

Adopting Heidi & Pollo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Heidi & Pollo?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Hamburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Heidi & Pollo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Heidi & Pollo if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Hamburg what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Heidi & Pollo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Hamburg directly what is included and what Heidi & Pollo still needs.
What happens if Heidi & Pollo isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Hamburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Heidi & Pollo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
