Hela

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 9 years

Hela, a 3-year-old brown-striped female cat, is looking for a new home. She is friendly, affectionate, and playful, enjoying exploring her surroundings and communicating with her humans. She also loves having a small outdoor area to herself, whether on a balcony, terrace, or during outdoor time. Hela is an enthusiastic hunter and is not fond of loud noises or being picked up. She shows her affection in her own way and enjoys being close to her humans. Hela is compatible with other cats but has had a falling out with our male cat. We are looking for a home where she can feel comfortable and express her curious, playful nature. She can be kept indoors with a balcony or terrace, and outdoor time is also possible. Hela is spayed, twice vaccinated, and dewormed once. She has not been chipped yet. Adopt, don't shop! Are you interested and would like to learn more or arrange a meeting? Hela 2023 weiblich braun-getigert flexibel Zuhause gesucht! Adopt, don't shop! Adoptieren statt Kaufen! About Hela

What life with Hela looks like

Hela is a large adult mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hela?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hela if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Hela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hela isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenhilfe Würzburg / Mainfränkischer Tierschutz e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
