Hera

Female · Young · 3 years

The sizes of the dogs vary greatly. The following categories help you better understand the world of small, medium, large, and giant dogs. It's important to consider weight, height, and body shape. She is Hera. Or Lady. Or Bolha. The truth is that for her, the name doesn't matter much at all. All she really wants is to be loved — as much, as sincerely, and as often as possible. Hera is an extremely affectionate, loyal, and completely people-oriented puppy. According to her microchip, she was born in February 2023. She is the type of dog that literally becomes the shadow of her caregivers. No matter what we do, she needs to be there, by our side, participating in everything. For Hera, nothing is more important than proximity to people, hugs, attention, and sweet words. We can't understand how she still finds herself in the shelter, for she deserves so much more. With her approximate 58 cm height and long, beautiful fur, she is considered a large dog, but in reality, she is incredibly delicate when it comes to showing her love for people. Hera has been waiting far too long to become the center of a family's universe. Ideally, she would be the only dog in the house, as she can become jealous when other animals receive the attention she so desperately wants.

About Hera

What life with Hera looks like

Hera is a large young adult dog waiting at SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea in Sisterea.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hera, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hera?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hera on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hera if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hera already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hera isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs — FPCC Oradea early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hera and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (RO). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
