Herkules und Spartakus

Male

Herkules und Spartakus were, one would hardly believe it, abandoned in front of a veterinary clinic. Perhaps someone was annoyed by the cawing? We will probably never know. Now we are searching for an appropriate home for both of them, where they can live happily until the end of their lives. Each of them needs a flock of chickens, plenty of space to roam and scratch, and protection from animal enemies. The roosters get along well, but that will likely change as soon as a hen is added to the group—therefore, we would like to place them separately. If you are interested, please write us an email with photos of your chicken coop.

Frequently asked

Adopting Herkules und Spartakus, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Herkules und Spartakus?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Bergheim handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Herkules und Spartakus on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Herkules und Spartakus if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierheim Bergheim what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Herkules und Spartakus already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierheim Bergheim directly what is included and what Herkules und Spartakus still needs.
What happens if Herkules und Spartakus isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Bergheim early rather than rehoming privately; they know Herkules und Spartakus and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
