The mayor was immediately informed and asked for our animal welfare colleagues' immediate assistance. One of our volunteer helpers took the little ones in without hesitation – and that began their battle for survival. For almost four weeks, the puppies had to be fed with a bottle every three hours. Through this loving, around-the-clock care, all four made it: they are healthy, lively, and full of joy. Now they are in the quarantine area of our animal shelter. HERMAN, one of the three small male dogs, is a handsome, friendly, and rather laid-back young dog who loves being stroked and held. Our vet estimates that he will reach about 30 kg in size. How HERMAN will develop – especially after moving into a new home – cannot be predicted with certainty. Animals grow, just like we humans, through the experiences they make. With loving, patient, and consistent guidance, however, HERMAN brings the best prerequisites to become a balanced and faithful companion. HERMAN is already microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for endo- and ectoparasites according to his age. What breeds are in him, we cannot determine precisely. Given his origin, however, it is possible that the Greek German Shepherd is also part of him. Since these dogs often develop independent and robust personalities, we are looking for a home for HERMAN with HSH-experienced dog owners with a house and garden, in a rural location, where he can grow up safe and sound.

Der Bürgermeister wurde sofort informiert und bat umgehend unsere Tierschutzkolleginnen um Unterstützung. Eine unserer freiwilligen Helferinnen nahm die Kleinen ohne zu zögern bei sich auf – damit begann ihr Kampf ums Überleben. Fast vier Wochen lang mussten die Welpen im Drei-Stunden-Takt mit der Flasche gefüttert werden. Durch diese liebevolle Rund-um-die-Uhr-Betreuung haben es alle vier geschafft: Sie sind gesund, munter und voller Lebensfreude. Mittlerweile sind sie im Quarantänebereich unseres Tierheims untergebracht. HERMAN, einer der drei kleinen Rüden, ist ein hübscher, freundlicher und eher gelassener junger Hund, der es sehr genießt, gestreichelt und gehalten zu werden. Unser Tierarzt schätzt, dass er einmal etwa 30 kg erreichen wird. Wie sich HERMAN weiterentwickelt – insbesondere nach dem Einzug in ein neues Zuhause – lässt sich natürlich nicht sicher sagen. Tiere wachsen, genau wie wir Menschen, durch die Erfahrungen, die sie machen. Mit liebevoller, geduldiger und konsequenter Führung bringt HERMAN jedoch die besten Voraussetzungen mit, ein ausgeglichener und treuer Gefährte zu werden. HERMAN ist bereits gechipt, seinem Alter entsprechend geimpft, entwurmt sowie gegen Endo- und Ektoparasiten behandelt. Welche Rassen in ihm stecken, können wir nicht genau bestimmen. Aufgrund seiner Herkunft ist es jedoch möglich, dass auch der Griechische Schäferhund mit im Spiel ist.
