Adopt Hi, I'm Blu

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 7 years

I’m a handsome Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a big smile, a confident personality, and lots of love to give. I’m a happy, friendly, affectionate boy who has been very well loved, but my circumstances have changed and I’m now spending more time on my own than I’d like. I’d really love a home where someone is around more often to keep me company. Once I’m settled into a routine, I’m comfortable being left for around 2-4 hours at a time, but I’d be happiest in a home where I’m not regularly left for long periods. I have experience living with children and could happily live with older children or have visiting kids around me. I’m a bouncy, boisterous boy though, so my new family would need to be comfortable with my enthusiastic nature! I’d also love a secure garden where I can run, play, and zoom around safely. On walks, I can be a little strong on the lead at times, so I’m looking for someone who can continue working on my loose lead walking and recall training to help me be the best boy I can be. I’m a loving, loyal lad looking for a family who will enjoy my fun personality, continue my training, and make me part of everyday life. In return, you’ll get a best friend who’ll always be happy to see you. 🐾

About Hi, I'm Blu

What life with Hi, I'm Blu looks like

Hi, I'm Blu is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Jerry Green Dog Rescue in Lincoln.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hi, I'm Blu, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hi, I'm Blu?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Jerry Green Dog Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hi, I'm Blu on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hi, I'm Blu if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Jerry Green Dog Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hi, I'm Blu already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hi, I'm Blu isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Jerry Green Dog Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hi, I'm Blu and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
