* HOME OFFERED *Huxley & Lady Rose

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Huxley is an extremely unusual black spotted boy and Lady Rose is a lovely tabby and white girl. They have both come into our care after a very harsh life of living outside, and were thin, exhausted, and very fearful. Huxley has made significant progress since then, although he is still a cautious lad, and Lady Rose is also making good progress. They are suitable for a quiet, adult only, indoor home where they will be shown plenty of patience and understanding . They also like other cats. Huxley can be stroked, although he is still slightly unsure of human intentions. Lady Rose is ok with being stroked around her head area. This will of course improve over time, with kindness and patience. If you would like to offer poor little Huxley and his companion Lady Rose the special, loving and understanding home they need, please contact our centre on to arrange to meet them.

About *** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose

What life with * HOME OFFERED *Huxley & Lady Rose looks like

*** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose is an adult mixed breed cat waiting at Rolvenden Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting * HOME OFFERED *Huxley & Lady Rose, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about *** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rolvenden Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw *** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt *** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rolvenden Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is *** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if *** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rolvenden Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know *** HOME OFFERED ***Huxley & Lady Rose and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
