Honden ter adoptie

Male · Adult · 5 years

This lovely male is called Nero. Nero is a dog of approximately 62 cm height. His estimated birth date is February 2021. Nero has a short tail. Nero was found on the streets of the Romanian village Sânmartin in late 2024. He was wandering the streets. He was taken in by the animal shelter of Sos Dogs Romania and has been staying there for a while now. We hope to find a nice home for this wonderful guy. Nero is an incredible sweetie. He is always happy to see people and wags his short tail enthusiastically. He is social with other dogs and gets along well with them. He is beautiful to see with his medium-length wavy black coat. Walking on a leash went very well, but his future owners should take into account that he still has things to learn. Nero is currently in Romania and can come to the Netherlands if an owner is found for him. If you are interested in Nero, please send us a message with your living and work situation and any experience you have with dogs. If after an intake conversation it turns out you are a match, an appointment can be made to pick him up at our small shelter in Didam. Nero is The adoption fee is € 390. This is a contribution to the costs such as spaying/neutering, the trip to the Netherlands, European pet passport, chip and vaccinations. Also read the adoption information and our adoption conditions. This animal is microchipped.

Deze prachtige man heet Nero. 🖤🐾

About Honden ter adoptie

What life with Honden ter adoptie looks like

Honden ter adoptie is a adult dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honden ter adoptie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honden ter adoptie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honden ter adoptie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honden ter adoptie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honden ter adoptie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honden ter adoptie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honden ter adoptie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
