Honden ter adoptie

Female · Young · 1 year

This is Risa. Risa is a female dog with a height of 48 cm. Her estimated birth date is June 2024. Risa came to the animal shelter of Sos Dogs Romania at a young age together with her brother and sisters. They were found on the street. Unfortunately, these pups were never promoted for adoption and have grown up in the animal shelter. We want them to have a chance to find a nice home and hope to find one soon! Risa is a kind and gentle girl. Basically the same applies to all 6 dogs. They are social, loving and very cheerful. They enjoy the attention and the company when you come to see them. They are playful, full of love and can get along well with other dogs. What they all find exciting, including Risa, is the leash. On the photos you can see Risa, for the first time on a leash. They did not want to walk, she found it too exciting. That's okay, but it does take some time. Of course we understand that this is very exciting. Risa still has to learn some things, which is natural if you grow up in an animal shelter. For Risa we are looking for a kind owner who gives her the time to calmly get used to a completely new situation. Risa is still in Romania but can come to the Netherlands if an owner is found for her. If you are interested in Risa, please send us a message with your living and work situation and any experience with dogs. After an intake conversation, if it turns out that you are a match, an appointment can be made to pick her up at our small shelter in Didam. Risa is The adoption fee is € 390. This is a contribution to the costs such as spaying, the trip to the Netherlands, European passport, chip and vaccinations. Read also the adoption information and our adoption conditions. This animal is microchipped.

Haar geschatte geboortedatum is juni 2024. About Honden ter adoptie

What life with Honden ter adoptie looks like

Honden ter adoptie is a young adult dog waiting at SOS Dogs Nederland in NN Didam.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Honden ter adoptie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Honden ter adoptie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Dogs Nederland handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Honden ter adoptie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Honden ter adoptie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Dogs Nederland will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Honden ter adoptie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Honden ter adoptie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Dogs Nederland early rather than rehoming privately; they know Honden ter adoptie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
