Adopt Hope

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Name: Hope Breed; mixed breed. Born: 1.11.2024, approximately 40-45 cm tallHealth: vaccinated, microchipped, neuteredCharacter: Hope is a young female dog, with a delicate, slender build. Visually, she is a very pretty, fine female dog – but her true strength lies in the path she has already overcome. In May, Hope was found severely injured on the street after being hit by a car. She was immediately taken to an animal clinic, where surgery was performed to treat a fracture in her hind leg. A wire was inserted for stabilization. Hope has bravely endured this difficult time – the wire has since been removed, and she now runs around freely and unrestricted today. Despite everything, Hope remains a rather shy and sensitive female dog. She reacts to strangers with insecurity: she barks at people and would also try to bite out of fear if she feels pressured. This behavior is, however, clearly fear-based. With a calm approach and a little patience, she can be handled well and will calm down. If Hope once gains trust, she shows her gentle, lovable nature. She needs people with dog experience who understand her insecurity, give her security, and do not overwhelm her. A structured daily routine and sensitive handling will help her build further trust. For Hope, we wish for a quiet home with experienced people who give her the time she needs to settle in. A securely fenced garden would be nice, but is not a must – more important are patience, understanding, and a loving approach. Who gives this brave female dog the chance at a new life? Name: Hope Rasse; Mischling. Kontakt: Birgitt Busch Whats App: 015788221061Mail:

About Hope

What life with Hope looks like

Hope is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern in Germany.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hope, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hope?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hope on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hope if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hope already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hope isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundesuche Tiere in Not Bayern early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hope and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
