Hopper

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Hopper 171595 Born approximately September 2020 Height at the shoulder approximately 43 cm male, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed In the animal shelter since 9/13/2022 Location: Animal Shelter Prijatelji/Croatia We will organize the dog's transport Hopper: Compact sports enthusiast Hopper comes from a Croatian village near the animal shelter. If we had to describe him in three words, we would choose: Active, witty, curious. The colorful mixed-breed male is what you would call a sports enthusiast! Without even panting, he runs for ages in our exercise yard, comes to us when we call him and listens to us attentively. He is very attentive when it comes to treats. We definitely see potential for great training! Because that's what Hopper needs, ideally in a dog school. He has never been raised. Although he is friendly and considerate in dealing with us, he still needs to learn the dog ABC: basic commands, house training, walking on a leash, car travel, climbing stairs. But where there's a treat, there's a way! We wish for Hopper people who are just as active as he is. The male needs a lot of exercise and exercise. Therefore, a house with a garden would be ideal, but not a must. We can imagine Hopper accompanying us on hikes and in dog sports. The main thing is that you are there! The male likes to get in touch with his people and together you would be an unbeatable team! We can't assess whether Hopper knows cats. Therefore, a reunion should be carried out carefully. Hopper is looking for his teammate - a sporty person who pursues an equally sporty lifestyle. Whether hiking, cycling, jogging - Hopper is by your side! Here you can get a first impression of your new buddy: Take a look at what a great dog our Hopper is: If you are interested in Hopper, have a loving place available, are responsible and motivated, then simply send us a message: Our mediators, who will be there for you before and after the adoption, will contact you as soon as possible to answer your request and send you the necessary documents. We will also call you back if you send us a short message with your request. So we can get an initial picture of your situation and your wishes in advance and possibly get the necessary information about the dog from the animal shelter. About Hopper

What life with Hopper looks like

Hopper is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hopper, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hopper?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hopper on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hopper if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hopper already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hopper isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hopper and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
