Hrabia Balbin (B52) - male cat living on Chałubińskiego Street. He came to us for treatment. He uses a litter box. Unfortunately, it turned out that the kitten has feline calicivirus. FiV and FelV are contagious diseases that are dangerous only for the feline species. Cats with positive results are not a threat to humans or other animal species. A cat suffering from these diseases has a lowered immunity, may be more prone to illness, and can catch colds more easily. However, it's important to remember that the cat we care for, which lives in warmth, doesn't necessarily have to be ill and can live a long and happy life. Supplementing the diet with immunity-boosting supplements will certainly help. Cats with FiV/FelV can live with other infected cats or as a "single cat." HRABIA BALBIN (B52) - kocurek wolno żyjący z ul. Chałubińskiego. Trafił do nas na leczenie. Korzysta z kuwetki. Niestety okazało się, że kotek choruje na kocią białaczkę. FiV i FelV to chorby zakaźne, które są groźne tylko dla danego gatunku. Koty z pozytywnymi wynikami nie są więc zagrożeniem dla ludzi czy innych gatunków zwierząt. Kot, który zmaga się z tymi chorobami ma obniżoną odporność, może częściej chorować, łatwiej się przeziębiać. Należy jednak pamiętać, że kot o którego dbamy, który żyje w cieple niekoniecznie musi chorować, może żyć długo i szczęśliwie. Pomocne będzie na pewno stosowanie suplementów diety na odporność.
