Adopt Hudson und Orinoco

Hudson, a Devon Rex mix tomcat, neutered, born around early 2024, and Orinoco, a tomcat castrated, born around 2022, are suitable for apartment living. Hudson und Orinoco and Hudson und Orinoco stem from the same wild stock and are now inseparable with us, so we are looking for a new home for the two tomcats. While Orinoco still observes everything from a safe distance and only allows himself to be slightly bribed with treats, Hudson can already be stroked a little. We are optimistic that both will continue to make progress and eventually build trust. Unlike all the other cats in the group, Hudson has Rex-type curly, silky fur that feels incredibly soft but does not really provide good protection against cold due to the lack of undercoat. This is probably also the reason why Hudson had a cold when he arrived. Otherwise, the handsome tomcat was not in good condition. He had several scratches and bite wounds, and only a small stump of his tail remains. An ideal home for him and Orinoco would have plenty of space and a secure outdoor area, such as a garden enclosure.

Hudson, Devon Rex-Mix, Kater, kastriert, geb. ca. Anf. 2024 und Orinoco, Kater kastr., ca. 2022 geb., Wohnungshaltung Hudson und Orinoco stammen aus demselben Wildbestand und sind bei uns mittlerweile unzertrennlich, weshalb wir ein gemeinsames neues Zuhause für die zwei Kater suchen. Während Orinoco noch alles aus sicherer Entfernung beobachtet und sich höchstens mit Leckerlies ein wenig bestechen lässt, kann man Hudson schon ein wenig streicheln. Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass beide weiterhin Fortschritte machen und irgendwann richtig Vertrauen fassen können. Im Gegensatz zu allen anderen Katzen aus der Gruppe hat Hudson Rex-typisch gelocktes, seidiges Fell was sich zwar super weich anfühlt, aufgrund der fehlenden Deckhaare aber nicht wirklich gut gegen Kälte schützt. Das ist sicher auch der Grund, weshalb Hudson bei seiner Ankunft Schnupfen hatte. Auch sonst war der hübsche, Kater in keinem guten Zustand. Er hatte etliche Schrammen und Bissverletzungen, noch dazu ist von seinem Schwanz nur ein kleiner Stummel übrig. Optimal wäre für ihn und Orinoco ein Zuhause mit viel Platz und gesichertem Auslauf z.B. mit Gartengehege.
