Hugo is a strong and beautiful herding dog mix who has spent almost his entire life in the animal shelter. Since 2018, he has been waiting in Romania for people to show him what a real home feels like. Despite the long time behind bars, Hugo has kept his friendly, lively nature - he loves to play, is balanced, people-oriented and gets along well with other dogs. He just needs some time to warm up to strangers. His heart especially beats for ball games and he loves it when the caretakers can take time for him and throw the ball for him. In this way, Hugo brings a calm, confident presence that makes him a pleasant companion. As a typical herding dog, Hugo needs people with experience who meet him with patience, clarity and respect. A home with a house and securely fenced garden, ideally in a quiet environment, is a prerequisite for him. Hugo has been waiting so long - who will show him that he is also seen and loved? He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed/treated for fleas and has an EU passport. Hugo ist ein wunderschöner Herdenschutz-Mix, der fast sein ganzes Leben im Tierheim verbracht hat. Seit 2018 wartet er in Rumänien auf Menschen, die ihm zeigen, wie sich ein echtes Zuhause anfühlt. Trotz der langen Zeit hinter Gittern hat Hugo seine freundliche und lebensfrohe Art bewahrt. Der sensible Rüde sehnt sich sehr nach Nähe und Bindung. Zu seinen Pflegern – aktuell seine Bezugspersonen – hat Hugo eine enge und vertrauensvolle Beziehung aufgebaut. Bei fremden Menschen zeigt er sich anfangs eher vorsichtig und beobachtend. Er braucht Zeit, um sein Gegenüber und die Situation einzuschätzen. Doch sobald Hugo Vertrauen gefasst hat, zeigt er seine besonders liebevolle Seite und entwickelt sich zu einem echten Kuschelbären. Auch seine verspielte Art ist etwas ganz Besonderes: Hugo liebt Ballspiele und genießt jede gemeinsame Zeit mit den Menschen, die sich mit ihm beschäftigen. Dabei bringt er eine ruhige, souveräne Ausstrahlung mit, die ihn zu einem angenehmen und treuen Begleiter macht. Mit anderen Hunden ist er gut verträglich. Als Herdenschutzhund braucht Hugo Menschen mit Erfahrung, die ihm mit Geduld, Klarheit und Respekt begegnen. Ein Zuhause mit Haus und sicher eingezäuntem Garten, idealerweise in ruhiger Umgebung, ist Voraussetzung für ihn.
