Hugo arrived at our shelter after several months of stray wandering. It took many months of work with Elodie, our animal caregiver, for him to regain some trust in humans little by little. HUGO, however, despite enormous progress, remains a very shy dog, especially with strangers. But, each day, with patience, he gains a bit more confidence and seeks gentle contact, accepting caresses with infinite tenderness. Hugo is an adorable, very gentle and affectionate dog with a huge heart. His gentleness and efforts to overcome his shyness make him even more touching. Hugo will therefore need a calm, patient family to give him the time to gain confidence and adapt to his new environment. We do not yet know how he gets along with cats, and if he must share his family with a fellow animal of the same species, a preliminary introduction will be necessary.

Hugo est arrivé au refuge après plusieurs mois d’errance. Il a fallu de nombreux mois de travail avec Elodie, notre agent animalier, pour qu’il puisse reprendre confiance petit à petit en l’humain. HUGO reste, cependant, malgré d’énormes progrès, encore un chien très timide surtout avec les inconnus. Mais, chaque jour, avec de la patience, il prend un peu plus d’assurance et cherche doucement le contact, acceptant les caresses avec une tendresse infinie. Hugo est un adorable chien très gentil et affectueux avec un cœur énorme. Sa douceur et ses efforts pour surmonter sa timidité le rendent encore plus touchant. Il faudra donc pour Hugo une famille calme, patiente pour lui laisser le temps de prendre confiance et de s’adapter à son nouvel environnement. Nous ne connaissons pas encore ses ententes avec les chats et s’il doit partager sa famille avec un congénère il faudra une présentation au préalable.
