Hugo

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Hugo, a beautiful 5-month-old brown and white male, is looking for a forever home. He is a sibling to other cats and was separated from them to be with a sad cat to cheer him up. Hugo has taken on the role of making others happy and has been successful in doing so. He is a gentle and loving cat who enjoys cuddling and playing with his new friend. Hugo is up-to-date on all vaccinations and will soon be microchipped. He is looking for a home where he can live indoors and is available for adoption. Contact O.Z. Žilinské Labky for more information.

😇 A keď nás chytí únava, spolu v objatí zaspinkáme. 🥹💤🐾 Preto už teraz je každému jasné, že som dobráčik a budem milovať všetky mačičky. 😻❤️ Ľudí mám tiež veľmi rád. Tých svojich rád aj oblížem. 😽 Viete, ako z lásky… či ako sa to hovorí. 😂❤️ Som očkovaný 💉 a čoskoro budem aj čipovaný. 🐾 Domov si hľadám výlučne dnu 🏠 a na adopčnú zmluvu. 📄❤️ Domov bez mojich 4 labiek máš určite prázdny, tak nečakaj a volaj, píš, nech máš konečne plný dom lásky. 🐾❤️🏠 Váš Hugo 😻 O.Z. About Hugo

What life with Hugo looks like

Hugo is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at OZ Žilinské labky in Žilina.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇸🇰Adopting from Slovakia

Slovak rescue groups coordinate cross-border transport with European partners. Animals are chipped and vaccinated; sterilization is often included for adults and arranged post-adoption for puppies/kittens.

Frequently asked

Adopting Hugo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Hugo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. OZ Žilinské labky handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Hugo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Hugo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — OZ Žilinské labky will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Hugo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Hugo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with OZ Žilinské labky early rather than rehoming privately; they know Hugo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
