Huski

Mixed Breed · Male

Beautiful Huski is looking for a responsible home! Huski arrived at an older Gentleman's place on the Podlasie region over a year ago. The Gentleman had a kind heart and took care of Huski, allowing Huski to stay. However, the Gentleman is now older and sick, lacking the strength to care for the young, strong, and active dog. Huski often runs off-leash in the neighborhood. Since the Podlasie forests are full of hunters, the Gentleman fears that Huski might not return home one day. We are therefore searching for a new, responsible, and active home for Husky! Husky walks on a leash but is strong and pulls. The blue-eyed one is a calm dog, doesn't bark, doesn't react to other dogs, and as a husky: needs a lot of movement and doesn't like being alone. The dog does not reside in an animal shelter in Milanów. It lives on the Podlasie.

PL·Show original

About Huski

What life with Huski looks like

Huski is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Huski, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Huski?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Huski on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Huski if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Huski already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Huski isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Huski and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
