CE — A FIGHTER WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HEART Found abandoned in a field in Murcia, desperately ill and alone, Ice has already been through more than any dog should. Yet somehow, he never lost his trust in people. He still seeks our company, leans into our affection and loves his cuddles! Ice received treatment for ehrlichiosis and leishmaniasis and spent time in a wonderful foster home, where he could rest, recover and experience the comfort of being loved. Now he is back at the shelter, waiting for someone to make that love permanent. This big, handsome boy has such a gentle nature. He walks like an angel beside you, enjoys being close and has so much affection to give. He gets along well with other dogs, but needs a home without cats. The photos show part of his journey. Behind that transformation is a dog who kept choosing to trust, despite everything he had been through. Born February 2022 Large male Good with other dogs No cats Loves people and cuddles Neutered and ready for adoption Ice’s before-and-after story is only missing one thing: a happy ending with a family of his own. About ICE

What life with ICE looks like

ICE is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Murcia) in Lips Rescue.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting ICE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ICE?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Murcia) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ICE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ICE if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Murcia) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is ICE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ICE isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Murcia) early rather than rehoming privately; they know ICE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
