How do I contact the shelter about Ilios 🐾?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ilios 🐾 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Ilios 🐾 if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Ilios 🐾 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Ilios 🐾 isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ilios 🐾 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Ilios (male) 🎂 Birthday: ca. 11/2025 📌 Location: Cyprus, on PS 🏡 Living situation: no unsecured outdoor access, no solitary housing 🐱 Friends: Mios, Lulucia Hey, I'm Ilios, a super cuddly cat. I'm a bit shy, but I love snuggling ♥️ and playing with my cat friends. I also like kids, and I could even get along with a nice dog. When I was found, I was hungry, crying, and motionless under a car, refusing to leave my hiding spot. But then I was caught in a trap and now live with a foster mom. I'm ready for my own home, with a playmate and hands to cuddle me. More info at Heroes for Cyprus Cats! My journey to you will include microchipping, vaccinations, FiV/FelV testing, and an EU pet passport. ----------------------------------------------------------- Who are the heroes behind Heroes for Cyprus Cats? We at Heroes for Cyprus Cats are a dedicated team of animal lovers from Cyprus, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, committed to improving the lives of street cats in Cyprus. Our goal is to sustainably improve the lives of these cats. Our local team in Cyprus feeds, neuters, and cares for sick or injured cats on the streets and in colonies. If necessary, we bring them to foster families where they wait for their families in a safe environment. We also maintain a strong online presence, handle adoption inquiries, and provide support at the airport. Street cats in Cyprus suffer greatly and are often victims of car accidents or cruel mistreatment. Many simply starve or die from untreated illnesses. We rescue them from this sad fate and work tirelessly to find a loving, safe home for our rescued cats. We value a collegial, transparent, and respectful relationship within our team and with potential adopters. For us, adopting a cat is just the beginning. We commit to supporting our rescued cats and their new families for a lifetime. Together, we make a difference for every single cat.

About Ilios 🐾

What life with Ilios 🐾 looks like

Ilios 🐾 is a large puppy/kitten cat waiting at Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen in Kirchheim bei München.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
