ILUZJA

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Iluzja is a mature, extremely subtle lady born in 2019, which means she is currently around 7 years old. She was brought to our care from a difficult intervention as a completely wild dog, who did not know the good touch of a human, the warmth of a home fireplace, or a safe space. She is in the most beautiful, golden age of maturity: youthful chaos is long gone, offering in return life's seriousness, calmness, quietness, and a great need for stability. She weighs only 14 kg - a slim, compact and extremely handy format of a smaller medium, made to fit safely on a soft home bed. Iluzja is walking gentleness, defenseless tenderness and an ocean of modesty! Although the trauma of her past has made her still withdrawn and cautious, there is not a shred of aggression in her behavior. She is a completely defenseless, quiet, soft in her manners and submissive being who in moments of uncertainty simply looks for a safe haven, so as not to get in the way of anyone. At the moment, she cannot walk on a leash, and attempts to fasten it cause her too much stress, which is why she dreams most of a quiet home with a safely and tightly fenced garden. Such a green, quiet enclave away from the urban din will allow her to put her paws on the grass at her own pace, heal her jittery psyche and slowly learn to trust a human without unnecessary pressure. The shelter box is a very difficult place for such a sensitive, injured female dog - Iluzja is eagerly looking for a safe haven! Why does the injured by fate Iluzja need you? Genius attitude towards other dogs (Key asset!): Iluzja is very friendly towards other quadrupeds - as a dog with an isolated past, she feels great in dog company; the presence of a stable, gentle resident dog will be the best guide and support for her. Dream home with a garden: A quiet, safely and tightly fenced area is the only chance for her to calmly adapt, recover and function without fear of a leash. Pure, dove-like gentleness: Completely devoid of anger or nervousness; it is a submissive, delicate lady with a quiet soul, who wants only peace and security. Compact format just right (14 kg): Slim, light figure - an unobtrusive housemate, which will not take up much space, but will bring a lot of soothing calmness. Golden age of maturity (about 7 years): An oasis of seriousness and life's wisdom - she only dreams of a predictable rhythm of the day, a full bowl, a soft blanket and a patient presence of the caregiver in the background. Highest dimension of rescue: Giving a safe haven to a female dog rescued from a dark cell is the most beautiful gesture, bringing invaluable satisfaction from every, even the smallest step towards trust. We are looking for a very calm, understanding and full of deep empathy home for Iluzja - people patient, experienced and aware, who will respect her boundaries, will not speed anything up or force and give her time to get used to the new world. Give her a safe haven, and this unique girl will finally breathe and gain the most wonderful home forever!

Waży zaledwie 14 kg – to zgrabny, kompaktowy i niezwykle poręczny format mniejszego średniaka, wprost stworzonego do bezpiecznego ułożenia na miękkim domowym posłaniu. Iluzja to chodząca łagodność, bezbronna czułość i ocean skromności! Złoty wiek dojrzałości (ok. 7 lat): Oaza powagi i życiowej mądrości – marzy jedynie o przewidywalnym rytmie dnia, pełnej misce, miękkim kocyku i cierpliwej obecności opiekuna w tle. Najwyższy wymiar ratunku: Podarowanie bezpiecznego azylu suczce ocalonej z ciemnej komórki to najpiękniejszy gest, przynoszący bezcenną satysfakcję z każdego, nawet najmniejszego kroku ku zaufaniu.

About ILUZJA

What life with ILUZJA looks like

ILUZJA is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adopters usually cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting ILUZJA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ILUZJA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ILUZJA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ILUZJA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is ILUZJA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ILUZJA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know ILUZJA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
