Can I adopt Ilvy Imre en Immy if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. What happens if Ilvy Imre en Immy isn't the right fit?

Talk it through with Dierentehuis Zeist early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ilvy Imre en Immy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

European Shorthair · Female · Kitten · 3 months

Ilvy and Imre are a brother and sister pair of European shorthair cats. They were born on June 12, 2026, and June 19, 2026. They can live with dogs, but not with cats. They are not comfortable with small children, but they are okay with older children. They can live in an apartment, but they prefer to live in a house with a garden. They are looking for a new home where they can eventually go outside and where there is enough time for them. They would thrive in a home with older children.

About Ilvy Imre en Immy

What life with Ilvy Imre en Immy looks like

Ilvy Imre en Immy is a small puppy/kitten european shorthair cat waiting at Dierentehuis Zeist in AA Austerlitz.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.
