Adopt Imbir

Pomeranian · Male

Imbir is a young, delicate dog who quickly forms a bond with people. He looks like a Hungarian Vizsla. He has a beautiful reddish-brown coat that adds to his unique charm. No one passes by him without saying, "What a beautiful dog!" Walking with him is a pure pleasure. He walks nicely on a leash, making him the ideal companion for long walks. He never runs anywhere, walks slowly and stays close to the person. He loves moments of closeness with people as well as spontaneous play and cuddling. He is a balanced, calm and intelligent dog. This is a dog that does not tolerate isolation and likes to be with people. In shelter conditions he feels lost and needs support to feel more secure. This support is the closeness of a person, a gentle touch, and a calm voice.Imbir is a very sensitive dog. In the moment of strong stress that accompanies him when leaving the animal shelter, he pulls very much. He wants to escape from the noise, but just outside the gate he quickly calms down.Imbir is very interested in other dogs and usually reacts positively to them. We are currently working on his socialization. We are looking for an experienced caregiver for Imbir who would like to work with a young, still somewhat unrefined puppy. The most suitable place for him would be a house or a large apartment in a quiet area, where he will find space for himself. Imbir needs more space so he does not feel overwhelmed. We recommend Imbir for a home without small children, whose behavior he does not understand. We do not know his attitude towards cats. 🔵 Are you interested in adoption? Spacer z nim to czysta przyjemność. To wsparcie to bliskość człowieka, delikatny dotyk i spokojny głos. About Imbir

What life with Imbir looks like

Imbir is a large adult pomeranian dog waiting at Fundacja Viva Korabiewice in Korabiewice.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Imbir, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Imbir?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Viva Korabiewice handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Imbir on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Imbir if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Viva Korabiewice will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Imbir already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Imbir isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Viva Korabiewice early rather than rehoming privately; they know Imbir and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
