Bosse

Female · Young · 1 year

Bosse is a charming and lively guy looking for his new home. He is a dog who really appreciates contact with the dog caretakers who work here and quickly bonds with his surroundings. Bosse is, with his big love for treats, easy to motivate and fun to work with. In daily life, Bosse is safe and stable - he passes most people without problem and doesn't care about the horses here in the yard. However, he may need a bit of extra support in certain dog meetings. At the same time, there is a curious and playful side to him; he loves to explore his surroundings and can easily take off after flying leaves or rustling birds in the bushes. Bosse loves to play, especially to wrestle and play in the grass. He is a lovely mix of a cozy friend and a playful companion, and would suit someone who wants to give him both closeness and an opportunity to burn off his energy. Bosse is a friendly guy towards all people he meets. He handles well, looking at paws, claws and ears have worked well. Even though it's certainly not his favorite activity. In dog meetings, Bosse can get a bit excited and then becomes pushy and wants to go forward. With the right support, however, it is easy to distract Bosse and this is done most easily by catching him at an early stage with a treat. For treats, Bosse will do almost anything.

SV·Show original

About Bosse

What life with Bosse looks like

Bosse is a large young adult dog waiting at Hundstallet in Stockholm.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bosse, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bosse?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundstallet handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bosse on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bosse if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundstallet will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bosse already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bosse isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundstallet early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bosse and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
