Adopt Ingrid (Ингрид)

Male

This smiling girl is Ingrid, a one-and-a-half-year-old puppy, born in the fall of 2023, from shelter "Slatina". She is black and white in color with very interesting markings, medium-sized, very friendly and dog-like in appearance. People who take care of her describe her as very good, playful, social and affectionate. Ingrid is spayed, vaccinated, registered and has an EU pet passport. She is suitable for families with children, of course with those who are used to having pets, and there have been no observations of aggression or anything bad from her side towards other dogs. We are looking for a home and family for her, which will love her, take care of her and show her that life can be better outside the shelter! 🎉💪❤️🐶🐾 If you would like to meet Ingrid and adopt her, come every working day between 9-15:00, as well as on walks on Saturdays with volunteers, about which you can find more information on the Facebook page Slatina Kindergarten. We recommend that the decision to adopt should be made after at least two or three meetings with her, during which you will have time to get to know the dog.

About Ingrid (Ингрид)

What life with Ingrid (Ингрид) looks like

Ingrid (Ингрид) is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Ecoravnovesie Sofia in Sofia.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇧🇬Adopting from Bulgaria

Bulgarian shelters typically include full vet workup, sterilization, and passport. Many coordinate with EU rescue partners for direct transport to adopter cities in Germany, Netherlands, and Austria.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ingrid (Ингрид), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ingrid (Ингрид)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ecoravnovesie Sofia handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ingrid (Ингрид) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ingrid (Ингрид) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ecoravnovesie Sofia will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ingrid (Ингрид) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ingrid (Ингрид) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ecoravnovesie Sofia early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ingrid (Ингрид) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (BG). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
