Inka

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Inka arrived at the foundation from Radocza, and is currently living in a foster home where she awaits adoption. The caregiver says about Inka: this little kitten loves to cuddle but is afraid of strangers and doesn't like when there's a lot going on, so a house with young children would be out of the question. She is easily tempted by treats and will chase them into the fire for them. Currently, she lives with another kitten and an adult dog, and they get along great, so she would love to be adopted by another cat. We are looking for a safe, indoor home where Inka can receive the best care. A condition of adoption is fencing in the balcony (if there is one) and securing the most frequently opened windows against the kitten falling out. NOTE! To adopt a cat, please follow these guidelines: Open the adoption form (link: ), fill it out and wait for contact from our side - we will call or reply to your email to arrange a pre-adoption visit. UWAGA! About Inka

What life with Inka looks like

Inka is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Inka, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Inka?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Inka on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Inka if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Inka already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Inka isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Stawiamy na Łapy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Inka and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
