Adopt Is it really that yellow?

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

9 April 2023 Happy Easter everyone! You might find some of the outside walls looking very yellow in this latest update, but don’t worry – that’s just because the render was still damp when we took these photos. It will all dry out to the same creamy colour. Although it’s more difficult to see now, we’re still making good progress with tiling, the second fix of electrical work and some of the internal finishes. The connection to the mains electricity network is another matter. We already knew it was going to cost us over €30,000 to get a connection because of the need to run a high-tension line and we have to buy the transformer, but the administrative processes could apparently take months, so it looks like we will have to buy a generator to start with. About Is it really that yellow?

What life with Is it really that yellow? looks like

Is it really that yellow? is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at SAT Animal Rescue Torrevieja.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Is it really that yellow?, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Is it really that yellow??
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SAT Animal Rescue Torrevieja handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Is it really that yellow? on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Is it really that yellow? if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SAT Animal Rescue Torrevieja will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Is it really that yellow? already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Is it really that yellow? isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SAT Animal Rescue Torrevieja early rather than rehoming privately; they know Is it really that yellow? and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
