adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Isa can stay forever in your foster home! Her story: Small but oh so charming! The adorable Isa is a very cute female dog. At 30 cm and 7 kg, she has a small size. With her brown nose pointing to the sky, her green-brown eyes look hopeful and attentive into the future. She was probably abandoned, and that's something she shares with many poor souls in Romania. One of our local animal rescuers found her near her parent's home. Isa loves people very much and seeks their company. She is a well-balanced female dog who will surely integrate well into a family. She seems to be a rather quiet female dog. Isa walks well on a leash, but it's clear that she's not used to it. She still has a lot to learn, but Isa loves treats very much, so that shouldn't be a problem. She gets along well with other dogs. Actually, she has no interest in them unless they want to share her food, then she's not so enthusiastic. Therefore, Isa would be happier with a place as a single princess. If there are other dogs in the household, one should initially make sure that Isa learns that she will get enough to eat and doesn't have to worry about sharing her food. We don't know if Isa has ever lived in a house, so one should be able to forgive her the occasional mishap. She has left her childhood and puberty behind, but she still has her whole life ahead, ideal conditions for a new start. Who still has a cozy dog bed free and wants to show Isa how wonderful a dog life can be? Many walks and adventures in nature, plenty of cuddle time, and maybe even a visit to a dog training class, because that's what the little Isa dreams of. Isa travels microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She also has her EU pet passport with her. For an adoption fee of 500 Euro, Isa can start a new life. Thank you Tanja B.! You gave Isa a name and thus an identity. As of: 08.07.

Stand: 08.07.2024

About Isa

What life with Isa looks like

Isa is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Isa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Isa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Isa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Isa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Isa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Isa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Isa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
