Ils sont bien dans leurs pattes et ont l’habitude du contact. Le rat est un animal intelligent et extrêmement sociable, il ne peut pas vivre seul. Il a besoin d’une grande cage adaptée et aménagée (étages, hamacs, cachettes), de sorties régulières, d’interactions quotidiennes et d’une alimentation équilibrée.
