Isis

Mixed Breed · Female

A feisty, affectionate, and loving cat named Isis was found on the streets and brought to our shelter by someone who could no longer care for her. Based on her behavior, we believe she had a family at some point that abandoned her, as she is very accustomed to living with humans. She is a social and affectionate cat… when she decides to be. She loves being close to people, asking for attention, and enjoying her little rituals: drinking from the faucet, savoring her favorite canned food, and, of course, having her own space to rest undisturbed. Isis has a lot of energy, and sometimes, if she feels overstimulated, she may express her discomfort with a small nip. For that reason, she needs a family that understands her feline language and respects her downtime. When she feels comfortable, she doesn’t hesitate to seek petting and share moments of tenderness. We are looking for a quiet home without children or other cats where she can relax, feel safe, and receive the love she so deserves. Do you think you could be that special person for Isis? ES·Show original

About Isis

What life with Isis looks like

Isis is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Protectora Barcelona in Barcelona.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Isis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Isis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Protectora Barcelona handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Isis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Isis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Protectora Barcelona will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Isis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Isis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Protectora Barcelona early rather than rehoming privately; they know Isis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
