Some of us learned this from children's books and films, while others have come to understand it through life. Indeed, the most loyal and reliable friends are animals, for whom the owner is always at the center of attention, regardless of whether they are rich or poor, healthy or sick. This constant source of unreasoned joy is what we cherish in our beloved pets when we lack the energy to be happy due to a bad mood, work overload, or daily problems. This very ability to bring joy is what planted four-legged friends in our hearts. Now, multiply this joy by ten, and before you stands Polly, a cute puppy who, if we were to think in human terms, has nothing to be happy about. Polly is an injured dog with a maimed hind leg and a huge hope for happiness, a dog's happiness, which is not money or fame, but simply a roof over her head and a loving owner. We have heard time and again that people with disabilities are often much more optimistic than those who, not noticing their own happiness, use it every day, forgetting to thank fate for the ability to walk, run, and jump normally. This is how Polly is. She is an extraordinary puppy. Having survived the betrayal of people who inflicted her with a fracture (of the femur) and then threw her out into the rain and cold in an unfamiliar place, she recovered from the shock of the first days and settled in a cardboard box, happily eating a discarded piece of bread and scraps. Now, looking into the eyes of passersby and wagging her tail, she hopes sincerely that someone, a man or a woman, will take pity on her and take her into their family. For she deserves it, having paid with a paw, and isn't that a sufficient price for happiness, isn't it? Polly was abandoned in a very unfortunate place, where two busy highways are, where the administration threatens to deal with the animals, where each day is a win against fate. She, like any child, is naive and kind, trusting passersby and clinging to someone who decides to pet her so strongly that one can only leave with tears. After a visit to the doctor, the hands dropped, as the fracture was old, and Polly managed to cope with it, pulling her leg up and not putting weight on it, in such a position she remained. The doctors do not recommend breaking the bone because there is no hope for normal walking, so Polly cannot compete with healthy puppies, but she cannot compete only because people do not believe that with three legs, she is still a great friend and protector. Polly's fate is now in question. The volunteer who found her cannot fully devote herself to finding a home for her, so she will have to return to her previous place of residence, that is, the street. But you can prevent this and give this dog a chance. She is not at all fussy about food and shelter, she has a thick coat and the ability to appreciate small joys, such as a bowl of warm porridge and a cozy warm kennel. Для многих из нас эти понятия стали практически синонимами, некоторые из нас поняли это еще из детских книг и фильмов, а другие усвоили в течение жизни.Действительно, самые преданные и надежные друзья – это животные, для которых хозяин, беден он или богат, здоров или больной, всегда остается центром внимания и источником беспричинной радости, которую мы так ценим в наших любимцах, когда у нас не остается сил на радость по причине плохого настроения, аврала на работе, ежедневных проблем. Именно эта способность дарить радость и поселила четвероногих друзей в наших сердцах. А теперь умножьте эту жизнерадостность в десятки раз и перед Вами – Полли, симпатичный щенок, которому, если думать человеческими категориями, радоваться совсем нечему. Полли – собака-инвалид с покалеченной задней лапой и огромной надеждой на счастье, собачье счастье, а это не деньги и не слава, а всего лишь кров над головой и любящий хозяин. Все мы слышали неоднократно, что люди – инвалиды очень часто намного оптимистичней, чем остальные, нормальные, которые, не замечая своего счастья, пользуются им каждый день, забывая благодарить судьбу за возможность нормально ходить, бегать, прыгать. Вот так и Полли. Это – необыкновенный щенок. Пережив предательство людей, которые нанесли ей травму (перелом шейки бедра) и выбросили ее на улицу в дождь и холод в незнакомом месте, она оправилась от шока первых дней и поселилась в картонной коробочке, радуясь брошенному куску хлеба и объедкам. И сейчас, заглядывая в глаза проходящих людей и виляя хвостом, она ждет, искренне надеясь, что может тот мужчина или та женщина, сжалится над ней и примет в семью. Ведь она это заслужила, поплатившись лапой, ведь это достаточная цена за счастье, не так ли? Полли выбросили в очень неудачном месте, в том месте, где две оживленные магистрали, где администрация грозится расправиться с животными, где прожить еще один день значит выиграть у судьбы шанс. Она, как любой ребенок, наивна и добра, доверяет прохожим и прижимается к тому, кто решил ее погладить с такой силой, что уйти можно только сдержав слезы. После визита к врачу, руки опустились, так как перелом — застаревший и Полли с ним справилась, как смогла, подтягивая лапу и не наступая на нее, в таком положении она и застыла. Врачи не рекомендуют ломать кость, так как надежды на нормальную ходьбу нет, поэтому Полли не выдерживает конкуренции со здоровыми щенками, но не выдерживает только потому, что люди не верят, что хоть и с тремя лапами, но это – отличный друг и охранник. Сейчас судьба Полли под большим вопросом, волонтер, который ее нашел, не может в полном объеме заниматься поисками хозяина, поэтому ей придется вернуться на прежнее место обитания, то есть на улицу. Но вы можете этого не допустить и подарить этой собаке шанс. Она совсем неприхотлива в еде и крове, у нее густая шерсть и способность ценить крошечные радости, такие как миска теплой каши и уютная теплая будочка.
