Izzy

Mixed Breed Cat · Female · Young · 3 years

Meet Izzy. After raising her beautiful kittens, it's finally Izzy's turn to find a loving home of her own. This sweet girl has been an amazing mum, and now she's ready to be spoiled with all the love and attention she deserves.Izzy is a confident, affectionate cat who has settled into the centre brilliantly. She loves people and will happily come over for a fuss, soaking up every bit of affection she can get. She's also a big fan of being brushed and, if treats are involved, you'll have a friend for life!Having previously lived with other cats, Izzy could happily share her home with another friendly feline and may even be able to live with a cat-friendly dog. She'd also be happy in a family with children aged 5 and over.Although she enjoys relaxing indoors, Izzy is a curious girl who would love a safe outdoor space to explore before returning home for cuddles on the sofa.Izzy can occasionally be startled by sudden movements, so she'll appreciate a calm, patient family who will help her settle into her new life. This gorgeous girl has done everything we've asked of her, from caring for her kittens to breezing through her health checks. Now all she needs is someone to choose her.Could you be the one to give Izzy the happy ending she deserves? Misty and Belle writ up:Meet Misty and Belle. Some friendships are simply meant to last forever, and Misty and Belle are the perfect example. This beautiful pair are completely inseparable and are searching for a loving home where they can continue their journey together.Whether they're curled up for a nap, playing side by side or gently grooming one another, these girls do everything together. Their bond is truly heartwarming, and it's impossible not to fall in love with them.Despite a difficult start in life, having come from a home with 11 other cats, both girls have blossomed into affectionate, gentle companions. Misty has shown incredible resilience after sadly losing her kittens, while Belle has gained so much confidence thanks to having her best friend by her side. Together, they've helped each other flourish. They love people, enjoy being fussed over and are wonderfully easy to handle. Watching them politely share their meals and comfort one another is a reminder of just how special their friendship really is.Now, all Misty and Belle need is a forever family who will welcome them both into their hearts. In return, you'll receive double the love, double the purrs and two best friends who will brighten every day.Could you be the happy ending these beautiful girls have been waiting for?

About Izzy

What life with Izzy looks like

Izzy is a large young adult mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Cornwall Branch in Saint Columb.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Izzy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Izzy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Cornwall Branch handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Izzy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Izzy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — RSPCA Cornwall Branch will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Izzy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Izzy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Cornwall Branch early rather than rehoming privately; they know Izzy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
