Jackson *RESERVIERT*

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 8 years

🐾 Clever fellow seeks his new home 🏡 Jackson is an almost eight-year-old, intact Jack Russell Terrier mix—compact, clever, funny, and always right in the middle of life on his short little legs. He’s a friendly little guy who approaches people with great warmth and quickly shows just how much he values closeness and bonding. Jackson would love to have his humans all to himself and is therefore looking for a home as an only dog. While he can get along well with other dogs after getting to know them, he’d like to be the main star in his new home. 👑 He loves accompanying his human companion everywhere. At our facility, he’s currently showing that being left alone isn’t yet entirely easy for him. This should be practiced patiently and lovingly in his new home. Since Jackson is generally an uncomplicated and cooperative dog, there’s a good chance he’ll continue making progress here. 🎓 Jackson is full of energy and active, but he can also happily spend a cozy day sleeping—depending on what his humans have planned. He loves cuddling, is very affectionate, and builds a close bond with his trusted caregivers. At the same time, he’s a little character with his own will, just as you’d expect from a true Terrier mix. Currently, Jackson has an ear infection that’s already being treated. Due to his short legs, we’d prefer a home that’s as level as possible or one with only a few stairs. All in all, Jackson is a sweet, cheerful, and highly sociable dog who’s eager to truly settle into his new home. If you’re looking for a loyal little companion with charm, heart, and personality, you absolutely must meet Jackson! 💫 FACT SHEET Age: October 16, 2018 In the shelter since: July 3, 2026 Breed: Jack Russell Terrier mix Gender: Male Origin: Germany Reason for surrender: Lack of time With cats/small animals: No With children?

About Jackson *RESERVIERT*

What life with Jackson *RESERVIERT* looks like

Jackson *RESERVIERT* is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz Kinzig-Main e.V. (Tierheim Gelnhausen) in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Jackson *RESERVIERT*, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Jackson *RESERVIERT*?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz Kinzig-Main e.V. (Tierheim Gelnhausen) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Jackson *RESERVIERT* on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Jackson *RESERVIERT* if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz Kinzig-Main e.V. (Tierheim Gelnhausen) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Jackson *RESERVIERT* already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Jackson *RESERVIERT* isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz Kinzig-Main e.V. (Tierheim Gelnhausen) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Jackson *RESERVIERT* and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
